On Sep. 14, the Fort Lewis College cross country team and women’s lacrosse team hosted the Tom Strandt Memorial 5k Color Run in support for Natanya Joy Mallin, a former FLC cross country athlete who is currently battling cancer.

On Saturday, April 6th at 1:49 a.m., a gunshot was fired on Eigth Street outside of Colorado Ponga’s and Joel’s Bar.
According to the police report, there were at least four individuals participating in a physical fight in the street when the shot was fired. Police arrived on the scene within seconds afterward. No fatalities were reported.

Fort Lewis College’s annual triathlon will be celebrating its 25th anniversary on Sun., April 14th.
The 10 a.m. race involves a 500-meter swim in the campus pool, a 15-mile bike ride on pavement, and a 5K run that uses the Rim Trail.

The Miss Hozhoni Days pageant is taking place March 29-30 in the Wahlen Gymnasium at Fort Lewis College, and will consist of speakers, powwowing, traditional food, and celebration of many Native American cultures.
